Claire Huder is a young creative with a passion for expressing herself and her individuality through music, acting, modeling and, when possible, writing. Born in Petoskey, Michigan, she stayed active through her school years by participating in a variety of sports activities, clubs, theater, band and choir, and honors and AP classes. Outside of school-sponsored activities and performances, she also opened local high school hockey and basketball games by singing the National Anthem, as well as the annual Red Wings Alumni hockey game with both the USA and Canadian anthems.

Despite her initial interest in science—specifically biology/zoology—she chose to study music and, after graduating from Petoskey High School in 2011, attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for Music Performance with a concentration in opera. There she performed in opera scenes performances, concerts, and operas, including Dorabella in Cosí Fan Tutte and a choir performance at New York City’s Carnegie Hall in 2012. She also earned the opportunity to study abroad in Italy through the Oberlin in Italy operatic performance program, performing in numerous concerts and master classes, as well as in an operatic scenes production as Fidalma from Il matrimonio segreto. Though she was unable to finish her degree due to unforeseen circumstances, she intends to eventually return to her studies and graduate.

Claire gradually moved south, from Michigan to Ohio and eventually settled in Jacksonville, Florida. There she continues to sing and develop her love for acting and modeling while additionally working at the prestigious law firm of Morgan & Morgan, P.A. She has starred in a number of local short films in supporting and lead roles, and looks forward to starring in a lead role in a web series as well as in supporting roles in two feature films. As a model, Claire has also been featured in the local Radx Magazine, the blog The Coordinated Bride, and on the back cover (and inside of) French-based MALVIE Magazine’s May 2020 issue, making her an internationally published model.

Despite the warmth and creative opportunity in Florida, however, she feels drawn to her northern home and continues to visit her family and hometown periodically.
