About the event

Our November Community Mental Health Day (QMHD) will be a free public gathering at the Jacksonville Public Library. This event is designed to bring people together during a tough season with resources, education, and real conversation.

We’ll host 10 vetted vendors in mental health and the arts (information only—no sales per library policy), feature a guest speaker to set the tone, and run a moderated forum where City representatives respond to three practical questions: the current state of mental health in Jacksonville, how residents can advocate and access benefits, and what specific benefits exist today and how to qualify.

Seating will support drop-in participation; we’ll provide clear wayfinding, printed/QR resource sheets, and gentle time-keeping for Q&A.

Our goals: make help feel near and human, strengthen city–community coordination, and send people home with next steps they can act on immediately.

Team focus: warm welcome, accessibility, safety, and accurate referrals—a calm, dignified…
